Pathé Ede: CineMec Cinema Officially Rebrands After Nine Years Under Original Name
Ede, Netherlands – CineMec Ede officially became Pathé Ede on Saturday, July 7th, marking the completion of a rebranding process initiated nearly a decade ago.The change reflects the full integration of the cinema into the Pathé Holding BV portfolio,which acquired the cinemec label in September 2014.
For moviegoers and event organizers in the Ede region, the name change signifies more than just a new sign. It solidifies access to Pathé’s wider range of offerings, including Pathé Unlimited subscriptions starting at €20 per month, specialized screenings like Pathé Ladies Night and 50PLUS Bios, and live event broadcasts of opera, ballet, theater, and concerts. CineMec Ede, established fifteen years ago, uniquely combines cinema with comprehensive conference and event facilities – a feature Pathé intends to maintain and enhance.
The rebranding is being celebrated with a Pathé Kids Party Week from July 16th to 22nd, featuring children’s films like Incredibles 2, Show Dogs, and The Little witch at a reduced price of €6 (excluding surcharges). Attendees purchasing Kids Tickets during the summer will receive a complimentary gift, and children under eleven now enjoy a standard ticket price of €6.The week will also include activities such as bouncy castles, face painting, a Kids Treasure Hunt, and a Kids Craft Corner.
Pathé Ede is not alone in this transition; the CineMec locations in Utrecht and Nijmegen are also adopting the Pathé brand. This move represents a consistent brand identity across Pathé’s Dutch cinema network.
