Nally vs Rambo: Wrestling Feud Fans Want to See | Chaingano 17

by Alex Carter - Sports Editor

A potential professional wrestling match pitting Sylvester Stallone against John Rambo has been proposed, according to a social media post from wrestling personality Chaingano 17. The post, referencing a desire to see Stallone and Rambo face off, sparked immediate discussion among fans.

The idea centers around Stallone, who has portrayed both characters. He is known for his role as John Rambo, a Vietnam War veteran and Green Beret featured in a series of action films beginning with 1972’s First Blood, written by David Morrell. Stallone also plays the character in the 2008 film, John Rambo (also known as Rambo IV). The character of John James Rambo originated in Morrell’s novel and has become a cultural touchstone, with the term “Rambo” sometimes used to describe a lone wolf figure prone to violence.

Stallone’s portrayal of Rambo has garnered widespread acclaim. Merchandise related to the character, including replica props and action figures, is currently available through the official Sylvester Stallone Shop. The shop also offers apparel featuring Rambo imagery, such as a “mugshot tee” and a dog tag.

The logistics of the match – who would portray which character – remain undecided, according to Chaingano 17’s post. Noah Centineo has been cast to play John Rambo in a future installment of the franchise, currently listed as “John Rambo (TBA).”

As of Wednesday, March 4, 2026, neither Stallone nor any wrestling promotion has publicly commented on the feasibility or scheduling of such a match.
