My hero Academia Spin-Off Team-Up Missions to Return with New One-Shot Chapter
A new chapter is on the horizon for the My Hero Academia universe. A special one-shot story for the spin-off manga My Hero Academia: Team-Up Missions is slated for release on December 4th in Saikyo Jump magazine.
Team-Up Missions, which ran from 2019 until earlier this year, presented original stories featuring heroes from the series collaborating on unique challenges. While not created by My Hero Academia author Kohei Horikoshi, the series was overseen by writer Yoko Akiyama. The spin-off followed Class 1-A‘s journey after the conclusion of the main series.
Viz Media describes Team-Up Missions as a series where aspiring heroes “team up with pro heroes for action-packed missions!” The program pairs students with professionals to learn teamwork while facing villains. “Although Izuku Midoriya and his U.A. high friends are thrilled to participate, there’s just one catch-there’s no telling who will be teamed up with whom!”
The announcement comes as the main my Hero Academia series prepares for its eighth and final season, and as My Hero academia: Vigilantes prepares for a second season. Currently, there is no news regarding an anime adaptation of Team-Up Missions.
Fans are hoping the new one-shot will feature a reunion of all members of Class 1-A, following the previous series finale.
