The Musica Ricercata festival, in partnership with the community of communes of Haute Tarentaise, returns from July 27 to 31, offering a unique artistic experiance. This innovative festival invites attendees to explore the breathtaking landscapes of Haute Tarentaise through intimate concerts, creative workshops, and outdoor moments. The festival aims to foster a dialogue between music, nature, and local heritage, transforming emblematic villages into stages for musical discovery.

This year’s Musica Ricercata festival promises a diverse program, blending various musical genres with the stunning natural beauty of the region. From the enchanting melodies of gypsy jazz in a forest theater to serene musical naps by mountain lakes, the festival offers an immersive and sensitive approach to experiencing music.

Festival Highlights:

• July 27: La Rosière hosts a captivating gypsy jazz concert at 7 p.m. in the forest theater.
• July 28: Sainte Foy’s La Chapelle des Roches will feature a musical nap in a clearing, followed by a piano concert at the Villaroger church at 8 p.m.
• July 29: A Flute-Cordéon duo performs at the Villard Chapel in Séez at 10:30 a.m. Later, Lake Ouillette in Val d’Isère offers another musical nap at 2 p.m., with an evening piano recital in Montvalezan.
• July 30: Val d’isère’s Joseray chapel welcomes a cellist at 10:30 a.m., while Séez’s media library hosts a young audience workshop combining sculptures and percussion at 3 p.m.
• july 31: The festival concludes with electro-jazz in La Daille (Val d’Isère) and a wandering closing concert in montvalezan, starting from the Hauteville chapel at 5 p.m.

Beyond the musical performances,the festival also showcases visual art with an exhibition by musician-plastician Yochk’o Seffer,available all week at the Séez media library.
