Moses Moody Injury: Warriors vs Mavericks Game Update

March 24, 2026 Lucas Fernandez – World Editor World

Golden State Warriors wing Moses Moody was stretchered off the court late in the fourth quarter of Monday night’s 137-131 overtime victory against the Dallas Mavericks after suffering a noncontact left knee injury, the team confirmed.

The injury occurred with 1:13 remaining in overtime as Moody attempted a dunk after stealing the ball from Mavericks rookie Cooper Flagg. Warriors medical staff immediately attended to Moody, and play was halted for several minutes while he was stabilized and removed from the court on a stretcher.

“We don’t know what We see, but it sure looked bad,” Warriors coach Steve Kerr told reporters after the game. “Just hoping for the best.”

Moody underwent an X-ray following the game, but the Warriors have stated the extent of the injury remains unknown. The team has announced Moody will travel back to the Bay Area with the team and undergo an MRI on Tuesday to determine the severity of the damage.

The injury is particularly concerning given Moody’s recent return from a right wrist sprain that sidelined him for the previous 10 games. He had been playing a key role for the Warriors against Dallas, finishing with 23 points and three steals, and disrupting the play of Flagg throughout the second half.

“It’s brutal, you know we’ve been waiting to get back healthy,” teammate Draymond Green said to NBA on ESPN Radio after the game. “Moses is a guy who does everything right… and he changed the game for us tonight.” Green added that Moody’s defensive intensity and scoring had been pivotal in the Warriors’ comeback.

Moody, 23, was the 14th overall pick in the 2021 NBA draft and won an NBA championship with the Warriors during his rookie season. He is currently in his third season with the team.
