Montreal LaSalle Shooting: Police Investigation Underway
A 25-year-old man was fatally shot in the LaSalle borough of Montreal Wednesday night, marking the city’s second homicide of 2026, according to police. Montreal police responded to a call around 10:45 p.m. Regarding the shooting.
Authorities discovered the victim near a home in LaSalle, though the precise location has not been disclosed. Police have initiated an investigation, but have not yet released details regarding potential suspects or motives. A bullet was reportedly fired in front of a LaSalle home, initiating the police response, according to the Montreal Gazette.
The Service de police de la Ville de Montréal (SPVM) is leading the investigation. No arrests have been made as of Thursday morning. Investigators are canvassing the area for witnesses and security camera footage.
