TSN ​and RDS ⁤Extend Long-Term Broadcast Rights for‌ Montreal Canadiens

TORONTO – TSN and RDS announced⁤ today a landmark long-term extension to continue broadcasting Montreal Canadiens games,solidifying their position as the primary television homes for the iconic franchise. The agreement ensures continued regional coverage of the Canadiens for⁢ fans in Québec and ​Atlantic Canada.

“The Montreal Canadiens are an ‌iconic franchise with a dynamic roster of exciting young stars, and ⁣one of the most passionate fanbases in all of sports,” said Shawn Redmond, VP, Bell Media Sports. “With this new long-term agreement in‌ place, we look forward to continuing to bring Canadiens games to TSN and RDS⁢ subscribers.We have ⁤built a strong and triumphant partnership with the Canadiens, and these regional broadcasts are a key element of TSN and RDS’s hockey programming.”

The partnership ⁢extends beyond‍ live game coverage. Viewers can access exclusive behind-the-scenes ‍content through Crave‘s THE REBUILD: INSIDE THE MONTREAL CANADIENS. The documentary series, narrated in French⁢ by Marc-André Grondin and in English by George Stroumboulopoulos, became the most successful documentary series in both Quebec and Canada in 2024, ranking among ‍Crave’s top 5 ⁤non-fiction titles ⁢in both languages. The second six-episode season is currently following the team throughout the 2024-25 season.

TSN’s regional Canadiens games are available on TSN2, TSN.ca, and the ‍TSN app to TSN subscribers within the NHL-designated broadcast region. ⁢in​ addition to Canadiens coverage,TSN and RDS also broadcast Ottawa Senators matchups,with TSN providing‍ coverage of the Toronto Maple Leafs and Winnipeg ​jets. Both networks remain central hubs ⁣for NHL‌ news, analysis, and specials like TRADECENTRE, FREE AGENT FRENZY, TSN HOCKEY SEASON PREVIEW,⁣ and TOP 50 PLAYERS.
