Monsta X is set to make a highly anticipated return, promising “more mature” and “even sexier” visuals.
Monsta X are preparing for their stage return and a new album with a ‘sexier’ image
K-pop group Monsta X has announced their return as a full group, with members hinting at a more evolved and alluring image.
At a press event held on Wednesday, July 16, 2025, at the Conrad Hotel, Monsta X members Hyungwon and Shownu previewed the group’s upcoming concert series. The three-night event is scheduled to take place at Seoul’s KSPO Dome from July 18 to 20, marking the group’s first full-group fan engagement in over four years, a period impacted by their mandatory military service.
Hyungwon commented on the group’s reunion, stating, “Since we’re preparing for our concert, we’ve spent a lot of time together.” He added, “I was surprised by how nothing has realy changed in terms of our teamwork as returning from the military. Our passion for practice and sense of humour have stayed the same.”
He further elaborated on their updated image, playfully remarking, “I’d say our visuals have become more mature – and even sexier.”
In addition to the 2025 CONNECT X concerts, Monsta X is also preparing to release a new album.
Earlier this year, in May, the six-member group released the digital album Now Project vol.1 to commemorate their tenth anniversary. This album featured ten tracks that were originally released between 2021 and 2023. The group re-recorded these songs to incorporate vocals from Shownu, who was fulfilling his military service during the initial recordings.
