Mon Hills Music Group Celebrates a Decade of Student Artistry with “The Encore” Showcase
Morgantown, WV – The Mon Hills Music Group will mark its 10th anniversary with a special showcase event, “The Encore,” this Friday, December 5th, at The Encore performance space.
The event, scheduled from 8:00 PM to 10:00 PM, will feature live performances from a diverse range of artists representing the talent fostered by the Mon Hills Music Group: Emily Lehr, Jennifer Cooper, and The 2 Sides.
“The celebration will mark 10 years of helping students follow their dreams, and if we can continue to build this program, the sky’s the limit,” stated Joshua Swiger, Director of Mon Hills Music Group and a professor within the College of Creative Arts and Media’s music business and industry program.
Founded in 2014, the Mon Hills Music Group has become a vital component of the West Virginia University (WVU) student experience, offering hands-on opportunities in all facets of the music industry. The student-run organization provides practical experience in performance, production, marketing, and management.
admission to “the Encore” is $10 at the door, with a discounted rate of $5 for students who purchase tickets in advance.
The Encore is located at 720 Powell Ave, Morgantown, WV.
