Malaysian Defence Minister Datuk Seri Mohamed Khaled Nordin arrived in Tokyo on Sunday for a four-day working visit aimed at deepening bilateral security ties under the Malaysia-Japan Comprehensive Strategic Partnership, thestar.com.my reported. The diplomatic mission is expected to deliver tangible defense benefits while boosting mutual understanding on regional security challenges across the Indo-Pacific.

The itinerary features high-level meetings with Japanese Defence Minister Shinjiro Koizumi and Foreign Minister Toshimitsu Motegi. Mohamed Khaled will also attend a document-signing ceremony for grant assistance under Japan’s Official Security Assistance program.

Arrival at Haneda Airport and Ministerial Itinerary

Upon his safe arrival at Tokyo’s Haneda Airport, archyde.com reported that Mohamed Khaled was welcomed by Malaysia’s Ambassador to Japan, Datuk Ahmad Rozian Abd Ghani, alongside Malaysia’s Defence Attaché in Tokyo, Captain Mohamad Fazri Ibrahim. The four-day schedule extends through Wednesday, linking defense diplomacy directly with industrial procurement talks.
