The highly anticipated live-action adaptation of disney’s Moana has arrived, unveiled with a newly released trailer promising a visually stunning and musically rich adventure. The film, directed by Thomas Kail-renowned for his work on Broadway hit Hamilton-brings the beloved Polynesian legend to life with a blend of practical effects, breathtaking locations, and returning musical talent.

Audiences can expect both new songs and familiar favorites as Moana and Maui navigate a world of mythical creatures and ancient curses.
Moana will arrive in Dutch cinemas on July 9, 2026, released by Walt Disney Pictures. The teaser trailer is available to view now.
