by David Harrison – Chief Editor

Columbia, MO – The kickoff time for the University ‍of Missouri football team’s‌ September 7th game ⁣against Louisiana has been adjusted ‌to 11:00 AM Central Time, Mizzou ‍Athletics announced today,‌ September 13, 2024. The change⁢ is linked ⁢to ongoing construction‍ at Memorial‌ Stadium ‍and revised gate ‌entry procedures for fans.

The alteration to the originally scheduled time aims to mitigate congestion⁢ related to ⁢limited access points caused by the closure of the north concourse and Gate⁢ 1. Construction on the north end zone‌ is currently underway, impacting fan⁤ entry, notably ‌for those intending ‌to sit in Sections 126-132 of the south end zone, who can now ⁢utilize any open ⁤gate. Entrances for premium seating areas - the walsworth Family⁤ Columns club, the West Tower, and the Multipli Club (Gate 7) – will remain unchanged. Mizzou Athletics⁣ confirmed construction will pause before gates open on game days and be confined to the construction zone.

According ⁣to a statement from Mizzou Athletics, ⁣the university anticipates capacity⁢ crowds ‌throughout the 2024 ‌football ⁤season.⁤ The north end zone construction project is ⁤scheduled to be ⁣completed⁤ in time for the 2025⁤ season.
