Hockey Day Minnesota Ignites Community Spirit
Annual Celebration Cultivates “State of Hockey” Pride
Hockey Day Minnesota, an annual tradition established in 2007, continues to foster the passionate hockey culture deeply ingrained in the state. The Minnesota Wild initiated this event to honor the sport that has earned Minnesota its iconic moniker.
A Collaborative Celebration on Ice
This premier event is a testament to successful collaboration, produced in partnership with Bally Sports North, Minnesota Hockey, and the host community that graciously welcomes the festivities each year. Past host locations have spanned the state, from Baudette Bay in 2007 and 2008 to Warroad in 2024, with Hastings slated for 2026, showcasing the widespread love for the game.
United Heroes League: Supporting Military Families
The event also shines a light on organizations like the United Heroes League, a Hastings-based non-profit dedicated to supporting military families. They provide essential resources such as free sports equipment, youth camps, and financial aid for sports fees, ensuring families can bond over shared experiences, even amidst deployment.
