The Ministry of Education, Sports and Youth announced that inspection officers from the Private Education Sector are carrying out unannounced visits to Private Tutoring Centers and Private Educational Centers during afternoon operating hours for the 2026-2027 academic year.
These visits aim to inform operators, verify compliance with existing legislation, update center records, and ensure that actual operations match the credentials submitted to the ministry during the initial licensing process. Owners must facilitate the work of the control officers by providing all requested data regarding staff schedules and facility operations.
Mandatory Compliance Points for Educational Center Owners
Inspection officers evaluate specific operational criteria during their unannounced visits. Center owners or designated staff members on duty must present documentation covering several key areas:
- Verification of the exact physical address of the facility.
- Identification of the exterior sign displaying the registered commercial name filed with the Registrar of Companies and Intellectual Property.
- Confirmation of the registered owner and director.
- Inspection of classrooms, administrative offices, and auxiliary spaces.
- Comprehensive record of teaching and non-teaching personnel, including administrative and support staff.
- Logs of all subjects taught and daily operating schedules.
- Any information requested by ministry officials regarding staffing and facility operations.
The ministry emphasizes that any structural alterations, layout modifications, or changes in location require prior approval. Owners must secure updated permits and certificates from the relevant authorities—including the Town Planning Department, local municipalities or district offices, and the Fire Service—and submit them to the ministry for formal validation.
