Minimap Indie Game Showcase: 30 Titles & Voting for Marketing Support – Feb 26th
Minimap, a social platform for video gamers, will host its inaugural indie game showcase tomorrow, February 26th, at 11 AM PST / 1 PM CST / 2 PM EST. The livestream event, accessible via Minimap’s official YouTube channel, will spotlight 30 independent titles.
The showcase distinguishes itself from traditional presentations by incorporating a direct feedback mechanism for viewers. Attendees will be able to vote for their most anticipated games, with the top three selections receiving marketing support packages from Minimap. All voters will be entered into a giveaway to win a Steam key for one of the featured games upon its release.
Voting will open concurrently with the livestream and remain active until March 12th at 11:59 PM PST. Participants can select up to three games they are most looking forward to. The voting page is currently accessible, but votes will not be tallied until the showcase begins, according to Minimap.
Minimap positions itself as a platform for dedicated gamers seeking a comprehensive overview of their gaming activity. The service integrates with Steam, PlayStation, Xbox, and Nintendo Switch, allowing users to track their game libraries, playtime, achievements, and other metrics in a unified profile. Minimap is also available as a mobile application for iOS and Android devices.
Beyond the showcase, Minimap actively supports the indie game community through its weekly podcast, “Quest Unplayed,” which features interviews with independent developers discussing their creative processes, and challenges. The platform’s commitment to indie developers comes as the industry continues to see independent titles gain prominence, as evidenced by recent updates to established franchises like Red Dead Online, which recently added daily challenges, according to Shacknews.
The event follows a recent announcement from Minimap regarding the showcase, as reported by Games Press. Rockstar Games also recently provided an update to Red Dead Online, a beta update, according to a news release.
