Mini Crossword: Test Your Puzzle Skills | The Age

March 23, 2026 Lucas Fernandez – World Editor World

Puzzle enthusiasts at The Age now have a new daily challenge: the Mini Crossword, launched by Chris Berry on November 11, 2023. The puzzle consists of ten clues and twenty-five squares, designed to be a quick mental exercise.

The Mini Crossword is part of a broader offering of daily puzzles available to subscribers of The Age, including Quick and Cryptic crosswords. As of March 24, 2026, new Mini Crosswords are compiled daily by LR, with Quick crosswords by LRC and Cryptic crosswords by LRM. The puzzles are accessible online, via mobile, and through the publication’s app.

According to The Age’s puzzle schedule, Mini Crosswords were also compiled by LR on March 23, 2026, and will be again on March 24, 2026. Quick crosswords on March 23rd were compiled by RMC, and Cryptic crosswords by RMS. The schedule extends back several weeks, showing consistent daily offerings of all three puzzle types.

Berry also introduced the Mini Crossword as a feature on MSN, inviting solvers to track their winning streaks and share results with friends and family. Premium subscribers to The Sydney Morning Herald also have access to the puzzles.
