Milwaukee’s New Downtown Dog Park Opens – A Paw-some Addition

## Downtown ⁣Milwaukee Welcomes New Dog Park Under I-794 ⁣Freeway

Milwaukee has officially opened its first downtown dog park, located under the​ I-794 freeway at 103 W. Clybourn⁣ St. The park opened ‍on Thursday morning following ‍a‍ Wednesday afternoon ceremony and “Yappy Hour” attended by local dignitaries.[[1]]

The 23,000-square-foot ​dog park features fenced areas for small and large dogs, open‌ turf⁣ space, a planter, water stations, and benches. It ​is the result of a collaborative effort between BID #21​ and BID #2, along with support from ⁢the Wisconsin Department of ⁤Transportation, Federal Highway⁢ Administration, Milwaukee County, ⁣the City ‍of Milwaukee, fromm​ Family Foods, the Milwaukee​ Admirals, Berghammer Construction, WE Energies,⁤ BMO,⁣ veolia, Off Leash K9 Training, and numerous individual⁢ contributors. The‍ park aims‍ to utilize previously underused space beneath the freeway, providing a valuable amenity ⁢for downtown residents and their canine companions.​ [[3]]
