Juventus ⁣Assistant Landucci to ‍Manage Team Against Lecce Following Allegri Suspension

TURIN, ITALY – MAY 16, 2024 – Marco Landucci will assume head coaching duties for Juventus when they face Lecce on Tuesday evening, following Massimiliano‌ Allegri’s red card during the Coppa Italia ‌final against Atalanta. The suspension means allegri is ‍unable to be ⁤on the touchline for the Serie A match.

Landucci, a long-time ⁤assistant ‌to⁣ Allegri, has been a consistent presence throughout the⁤ coach’s nearly two-decade career. This temporary‌ appointment places responsibility for maintaining Juventus’s league form in the hands of a coach deeply familiar with Allegri’s strategies and⁤ the‍ team’s dynamics.‌ The ⁣outcome of the Lecce‌ match will be crucial as Juventus aims ⁣to secure their position in the‌ Serie ‍A standings.

Landucci’s relationship with Allegri dates back to 2006, beginning at Grosseto‍ were he served as a goalkeeper‍ coach. He has since followed Allegri‌ to Cagliari (2006-2008),Milan (2010-2014 as a goalkeeper coach),and during both of allegri’s tenures with Juventus. Most recently,Landucci rejoined Allegri as an assistant at AC milan.

A former Serie A and Serie B player himself, Landucci brings extensive experience ⁣to the role, having worked ⁣closely with Allegri for almost 20 years. His intimate knowledge of⁢ the team and tactical approach‌ is expected to ensure continuity despite allegri’s absence.
