Micron Ranked Among America’s Most Charitable Companies 2026 | Newsweek
Micron Technology has been recognized as one of “America’s Most Charitable Companies” by Newsweek, ranking 17th overall out of 300 companies and second within the technology industry, the company announced Monday.
The ranking, a collaboration between Newsweek and Statista, recognizes U.S. Corporations for their philanthropic efforts, employee volunteerism and community investment. Statista assessed the 2,000 largest publicly traded companies by revenue, analyzing corporate social responsibility reports and conducting an independent survey of 18,000 individuals to gauge philanthropic reputation, according to a press release from Newsweek.
Micron’s recognition highlights the company’s commitment to “purpose-driven philanthropy, community partnership, and expanded access to STEM education,” the company stated. The company reported 96,000 employee volunteer hours and $5.2 million in total community investment, including cash donations, volunteer time, and in-kind giving, in its 2024 “Leading With Integrity: Corporate Responsibility Report.” Approximately 2,400 nonprofits were supported through these efforts, with $1.7 million in company matching contributions for employee donations and volunteer hours.
“When philanthropy is rooted in purpose, it can create meaningful, lasting impact in the communities where we live and work,” Micron stated. The company recently launched its Deed community impact platform to facilitate employee volunteer opportunities, donations, and company-sponsored service events.
Robert Half, also recognized on the list, was cited as another example of a company demonstrating a commitment to corporate social responsibility. The talent solutions firm reported similar metrics, including significant employee volunteer hours and financial contributions to community organizations, according to a press release from Seeking Alpha.
Newsweek and Statista jointly announced the rankings on March 11, 2026, honoring 300 companies for their contributions. M&T Bank topped the list, followed by Wintrust and U.S. Bancorp.
