The brothers initially developed the idea for their first short film, Revolistic, while studying cinema. Tapatío, recalling his previous work with Rodolfo Ambriz Rendón (known as Roy), offered financial assistance to launch a fundraising campaign and shared a quote that quickly gained viral attention. “Since then he has been our godfather, it is like our gandalf, because he is guiding us,” shared Rodolfo Roy Ambriz Rendón. “He has been very proud of our achievements.”
Following the success of early funding, the brothers traveled to London and Canada in recent months, invited by Tapatío, to finalize the musical score and sound mixing for Frankelda. The film’s production represents a significant investment of time and resources, culminating in a unique contribution to the landscape of Mexican cinema.
