Metro 2039 Collector’s Edition Revealed with Wearable Spartan Helmet
4A Games has unveiled the Collector’s Edition for Metro 2039, featuring a life-sized, wearable Spartan helmet. The developer confirmed the physical replica, which mimics the design used by the game’s protagonist, will be available as part of a limited-run package when the title launches in February 2027.
Wearable Spartan Helmet Recreates Post-Nuclear Gear
The Spartan helmet is a central element of the Metro universe and serves as a primary piece of equipment for navigating the game’s post-nuclear environment.
According to 4A Games, the replica is designed to reflect the harsh conditions of the surface and underground, featuring custom details such as scuffs, scratches, and integrated gas-mask components. The studio intends for the helmet to mirror the specific gear worn by the protagonist as he returns to Moscow to confront the Hunter and his own past.
First Public Display Debuts at Gamescom
Visitors at Gamescom in Cologne, Germany, have been granted the first opportunity to view the helmet in person. The replica is currently on display at the 4A Games booth in Hall 9.
The developer has stated that the Collector’s Edition will be produced in limited quantities, and they have encouraged fans to register their interest on the official website to receive early notification regarding pre-order windows.
Target Platforms and Upcoming Winter Release
Metro 2039 is scheduled for release in February 2027. The title will be available on Xbox Series X/S, PlayStation 5, and PC.
While the studio has confirmed that both Standard and Collector’s editions will be available for purchase later this year, additional details regarding the game’s narrative and gameplay mechanics were slated for further disclosure during the Gamescom Opening Night Live presentation.
