Wales is ​bracing for a period of severe‍ weather as the met Office has issued an​ amber warning – indicating a potential⁢ danger to life – for parts of south ‌Wales, alongside‍ yellow warnings for rain⁤ covering the entire country. The amber warning is in effect between midnight and 3am on Monday, while yellow warnings extend through Tuesday morning.

The impending conditions pose meaningful risks, including fast-flowing or deep ‍floodwater, disruption ⁤to travel, and⁣ potential damage to homes and businesses. the ‌amber warning specifically targets areas vulnerable to the heaviest rainfall, while the broader yellow⁢ warnings‌ signal ⁣widespread disruption across Wales over the next 24 hours.A yellow⁢ warning for rain will be in place for the vast majority⁢ of⁤ Wales between⁤ midnight and 3am, coinciding with the amber warning ⁤for south Wales. A ⁤further ⁣yellow warning for rain is scheduled from midnight to ⁢3am on Tuesday, encompassing ⁣north⁢ Carmarthenshire and much‌ of mid and north Wales.
