Messiah Falcons Dominate Chargers with 5-0 Victory
GRANTHAM,PA – The Messiah Falcons men’s soccer team secured a decisive 5-0 victory over the chargers on Wednesday evening,fueled by a relentless offensive performance in the second half. The win extends the Falcons’ strong start to the season and establishes them as a force in the region.
The Falcons’ attack proved unstoppable, particularly after halftime. A forced turnover quickly transitioned into a scoring chance, with Davis Pagett initiating a swift counterattack that culminated in his first goal and a 3-0 lead. The team’s ability to control possession and capitalize on opportunities ultimately overwhelmed the Chargers.
Pagett led the Falcons’ scoring charge with two goals, while Ethan Quadrini, Grant Shreiner, and Kyle Spodnik each added one to the tally. Patrick Lee and ethan Gregory were credited with assists, orchestrating the Falcons’ fluid offensive movement. Messiah outshot the Chargers 27-5,with a 13-1 advantage in shots on goal.
Goalkeeper Kessler Forrest secured the shutout victory for the Falcons, making one save. the team also earned four corner kicks compared to the Chargers’ one.
The Falcons will continue their home stand on Saturday, Sept. 27, hosting the University of Mary Washington Eagles at 6:00 p.m.
