Mercedes Moné AEW Return Imminent: Targeting Dynamite in Winnipeg?
Mercedes Moné has indicated she will return to All Elite Wrestling (AEW) “really, really soon,” following a tour of Europe, according to a statement made during an appearance on Italian television station IL61’s “Wrestling Time” program on Tuesday.
The announcement comes after Moné’s last AEW television appearance on January 10th’s episode of Collision, which followed a prior incident on Dynamite where she was presented with a face full of cake during Willow Nightingale’s TBS Championship celebration. In the January 10th vignette, Moné stated she was returning for “more than titles.”
Moné’s return is currently scheduled to coincide with AEW Dynamite on April 1st in Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada, following a defense of the WPW Women’s title at WPW Fight at the Museum on March 31st in the same city.
The impending return follows a period of title defenses and losses on a European tour dubbed “Moné Madness,” where she has competed for several independent promotions. As of March 19th, Moné has lost her last five title matches and still holds five indie titles, according to reports.
Moné’s initial arrival in AEW in 2024 was marked by a dramatic TBS Championship victory over Willow Nightingale, a pivotal moment for the promotion’s women’s division. Nightingale would later defeat Moné on December 31, 2025, at “AEW Dynamite: New Year’s Smash,” ending Moné’s 585-day reign as TBS Champion and becoming the first two-time champion in the title’s history. The match saw Moné display increased aggression, but ultimately fall to Nightingale’s momentum and signature powerbomb.
Prior to the title change, Moné had successfully defended the TBS Championship 24 times after winning it from Nightingale at AEW Double or Nothing 2024. She also held the Women’s World Tag Team Championship alongside Harley Cameron before losing the TBS title.
