Mediatransports has secured the advertising contract for the Nîmes metropolitan area’s public transportation network and will continue to operate the Tango network until at least 2030, the company announced this week.

The agreement covers advertising space on 145 buses – on the rear, side, and full length – as well as nearly 100 coaches operating in the region, according to a statement released by Mediatransports. The company claims this provides coverage of 94% of the population aged 15 and over within the territory.

Mediatransports also manages advertising on buses in Perpignan, as well as buses and trams in Toulouse. The company controls advertising rights for approximately 100 screens located in 18 SNCF train stations across the Occitanie region.

The Nîmes Métropole Tango network, which serves all communes within the Nîmes Metropolitan Area, is managed by the Keolis Group under the Tango brand since July 1, 2024. This includes operation, maintenance, and ticket sales, as well as network development and improvement, according to Nîmes Métropole.

Tickets and season passes for the Tango network are available at the TANGO boutique located at 13 rue Régale in Nîmes, as well as at various ticket outlets throughout the city and the surrounding Nîmes Metropolitan Area. Ticket dispensers are also available on the T1 and T2 lines.

The network offers park-and-ride facilities at A54/Caissargues, Parnasse, and Calvas, each providing spaces for cars and bicycles, as well as electric vehicle charging stations. The A54/Caissargues facility offers direct access to the city center via the T1 line, while the Parnasse facility provides access via a 10-minute connection. The Calvas facility is served by lines 6 and 16.

TANGO customer service can be reached at 0 970 818 638. The TANGO boutique is open Monday to Friday from 9:30am to 12:30pm and 1:30pm to 6pm, and on the first and last Saturday of each month from 9:30am to 12:30pm and 1:30pm to 5pm.
