Mediapro Renews CONMEBOL Production and Distribution Deal Through 2030

Mediapro Renews CONMEBOL Production and Distribution Deal Through 2030

November 3, 2026 Alex Carter - Sports Editor Sport

Spanish sports production agency Mediapro has secured an extension of its broadcasting and production contract with CONMEBOL through 2030, maintaining control over the regional governing body’s audiovisual operations.

Company Produces International Feed for Seven Hundred Matches Yearly

Under the renewed agreement, the company will produce and distribute the international feed for approximately 700 matches each year. Sportcal reported that the deal covers flagship club competitions including the Copa Libertadores, Copa Sudamericana, and CONMEBOL Recopa, as well as the national team tournaments organized by the confederation.

Broadcasts will be tailored for major media partners such as Fox, ESPN, and Globo TV across multiple languages. Todotvnews noted that the operational scope includes deploying up to 20 cameras at venues made especially demanding by altitude, such as La Paz and El Alto.

Central Infrastructure Remains in Buenos Aires Hub

The central infrastructure for these operations remains the CONMEBOL Hub in Buenos Aires, Argentina. The facility enables the concurrent production of up to 12 fixtures and has handled more than 3,500 matches since its launch in 2019. Additional support comes from regional teams based in Miami, Barcelona, and Montevideo.

Santiago Vila, country manager of Mediapro Argentina, Uruguay, and Paraguay, stated that continuing the partnership strengthens the organization’s commitment to technological innovation and operational excellence in South American football.

Continuing to work together strengthens our commitment to operational excellence and technological innovation in the service of South American football. We will keep working alongside CONMEBOL to support the growth of its competitions and deliver the highest standards of audiovisual production and distribution.

The operational framework shifts on January 1, when the group adopts the name Imagina, following a broader internal reorganization tied to its parent company.
