The operation, executed jointly by the Dijín, the GOES of the Metropolitan Police, and the Prosecutor’s Office, targeted a property where attendees were celebrating the birthday of Gerardo Muñoz Martínez, known as “Pelusa.” Pelusa is the brother of José Leonardo Muñoz Martínez, alias “Douglas,” a prominent leader of the criminal structure known as “La Oficina.” Pelusa has been serving a five-year sentence under house arrest since 2024 for money laundering convictions stemming from activities between 2000 and 2016.
Olarte Castrillón carried a 17-year prison sentence for a heavy slate of criminal charges.
