DURHAM, NC – Eight North Carolina Central University volleyball student-athletes have been recognized for their academic achievements, earning MEAC Volleyball all-Academic honors, the conference announced today. The Eagles’ honorees represent a notable portion of the 41 student-athletes across the MEAC celebrated for maintaining a 3.0 GPA or higher.
The distinguished group from NCCU includes Neira Joldic, Amarah Johnson, Tayah Little, Makenzi Searcy, Jaelyn Hall, Addie Reid, Jenelle Mason, and Gabriela felix-Baeza. This academic recognition underscores the commitment to excellence both on and off the court within the NCCU volleyball program, highlighting the balance achieved by these student-athletes. The MEAC All-Academic awards acknowledge the dedication required to succeed in rigorous coursework while competing in intercollegiate athletics, setting a high standard for all conference participants.
Maryland Eastern Shore led all MEAC institutions with 12 selections, followed by Morgan State and Norfolk State with eight apiece. South Carolina State rounded out the honorees with seven student-athletes recognized.
