Boston, MA – The Massachusetts AI Coalition will host its inaugural event tomorrow, bringing together leaders from a diverse range of industries to discuss the future of artificial intelligence in the Commonwealth. The coalition, formed in January 2026, aims to strengthen collaboration and accelerate the adoption of AI technologies across Massachusetts.

The initiative is spearheaded by WHOOP, the human performance company, which will serve as the Founding Chair for 2026. According to a press release, WHOOP will guide the coalition’s initial direction, focusing on shared priorities whereas maintaining an open and collaborative structure. Founding participants include Suno, Lovable, DraftKings, Wayfair, HubSpot, Klaviyo, Circle, Hi Marley, Blitzy, Phoenix Tailings, Duckbill, Jellyfish, Formlabs, Agency Inc and 7AI, representing a spectrum of companies from early-stage startups to global public entities.

The Massachusetts AI Coalition’s formation reflects a broader ambition to solidify Massachusetts’ position as a global leader in artificial intelligence. The coalition believes AI will fundamentally transform industries including healthcare, education, robotics, biotech and life sciences, defense and aerospace, and energy. Members cite the state’s concentration of talent, research institutions, and innovative companies as key advantages in this endeavor.

The coalition is not solely focused on technological advancement. A core objective is to foster company growth within Massachusetts and attract new businesses to the state. The group is actively seeking additional companies, venues, and community leaders to participate in events and contribute to discussions, according to the coalition’s website.

The coalition’s structure includes participation from firms within the Boston Venture Capital community, signaling a strong financial backing for its initiatives. The coalition’s founding announcement highlighted a shared belief that Massachusetts is “uniquely positioned” to lead the AI transformation, but did not specify concrete steps beyond convening members and fostering collaboration.

As of today, WHOOP has not publicly announced the agenda for tomorrow’s inaugural event, nor has it detailed specific projects or initiatives the coalition will undertake in the immediate future. The coalition’s website, massaiocoolition.com, provides limited information beyond a general overview of its mission and founding members.
