Plowable Snow ⁢Possible for Parts of Southern New England Tuesday Evening

Southern New England residents should prepare for a possibly challenging commute Tuesday evening as a storm system brings ‌the possibility of accumulating snowfall. While confidence in the storm’s track and intensity remains low, meteorologists indicate the‌ interior and higher terrain of massachusetts have the highest chance of seeing significant ‌accumulations.

The National weather Service (NWS) reports a 50% too 70% chance of at least 3⁤ inches of snowfall across much of the region. Though, probabilities are lower along the Interstate 95 corridor between boston and Providence, where the chance of at least 3 inches falls to 30% to 45%, and ⁤6 ⁤or more inches to 15%⁣ to 25%.

Meteorologist Kelly Ann cicalese told WCVB that upward of⁤ 3 inches of snow is highly likely north and west of Boston. Boston itself⁣ is⁣ expected to see‍ less than 3 inches, with a forecast alternating between snow and rain throughout Tuesday.

What the storm will bring to the southern, eastern, and coastal plain areas remains uncertain, according to the NWS. Boston 25 News meteorologist Vicki Graf ⁢advised ‍residents to “Plan for a tough commute Tuesday.”
