Klebasko Saves Keep Match Scoreless in First Half
The visiting Terps found themselves outshot in a defensive first half on Sunday. Indiana applied steady pressure early, forcing Maryland goalkeeper Alyssa Klebasko to make key saves to keep the match scoreless heading into halftime. Klebasko stopped two shots one minute apart as the Hoosier offense pressed, followed by a third stop on an Indiana corner in the 27th minute. Maryland managed offensive looks of its own through a pair of corners in the 24th minute and a shot on net from Feliz Kuhne, but neither side broke through before the break.
Van Hest Breaks Through After the Half
The scoreless deadlock ended in the 40th minute when Babs van Hest found the back of the cage for Maryland. Josie Hollamon picked up her third assist of the season on the strike, which marked van Hest’s ninth goal of 2026 and tied her for the team lead. The third-quarter breakthrough gave the visitors a 1-0 advantage that held through the final fifteen minutes. Maryland outshot Indiana 3-0 in the third frame and fended off late pressure, including a clutch save by Klebasko in the 51st minute and an Indiana goalie pull with five minutes remaining in regulation.
