TEMPE, Ariz. – Arizona Cardinals rookie wide receiver Marvin Harrison Jr. is questionable for Sunday’s game against the tampa Bay Buccaneers as he continues his recovery from emergency appendicitis surgery.
Harrison, who underwent the procedure around 2 a.m. on nov. 11, has been limited in practice throughout the week. His availability is a key storyline as the Cardinals evaluate their offensive options; Harrison has quickly become a focal point of the team’s passing attack despite missing the past two games. The first-round draft pick reported Friday that he’s experiencing a mix of discomfort adn normalcy as he heals, and doesn’t require any additional protective equipment.
“Some things feel uncomfortable and some things feel kind of normal,” Harrison said.
Cardinals coach jonathan Gannon noted Harrison has “looked good” and moved “well” in practice, but still needs to regain his stamina.
In addition to Harrison’s uncertain status, the Cardinals have ruled out several players for Sunday’s contest: running back Emari Demercado, right guard Will Hernandez, defensive lineman Walter Nolen III, and safety Dadrion Taylor-Demerson. Running back Trey Benson and offensive lineman Christian Jones were also not activated for the game.
