Buenos Aires – María Belén Ludueña, Argentina’s First Lady of Buenos Aires, has shared details about her pregnancy and upcoming delivery with her followers on Instagram, revealing she is expecting a baby boy in late April. The 39-year-old, who is married to Buenos Aires Mayor Jorge Macri, announced her pregnancy in November 2025, marking her first child and the fourth for Macri.
Ludueña addressed questions from her followers via an Instagram story, responding to inquiries about her pregnancy and well-being. She indicated her preference for a natural birth, stating, “My intention is that it be by natural childbirth; as the last weeks pass we will be able to know if everything is given for that, if not cesarean. I exit the decision in the hands of those who know, obstetrician and midwife.”
The announcement of Ludueña’s pregnancy followed a period of privacy after she began undergoing fertility treatments. According to reports from Pronto, the couple had been actively trying to conceive. Macri already has three sons from a previous relationship.
Ludueña also addressed negative comments she received online, responding to a message suggesting she was “too old” to be a mother. She emphasized the importance of respecting the journeys of all mothers, stating, “Behind every mom there is a story that deserves respect. Some dare to tell it, others retain it in their privacy. Only we are aware of the path we travel.”
The First Lady also noted the positive impact of encouragement from her followers, saying, “The truth is that happiness transcends and I think that is reflected in how I seem. Thank you for this and several similar comments. It is exceptionally vital to tell a pregnant woman that she looks beautiful, illuminated or radiant, because the hormonal movement can make you believe the opposite.”
Ludueña temporarily stepped away from her television hosting duties on El Trece following the pregnancy announcement to focus on her health and the upcoming arrival of her child. She and Macri married in November 2022 in a ceremony held at La Rural in Buenos Aires, as reported by Caras magazine.
