Yangzijiang Shipbuilding has secured a $119 million contract to construct four 1,900-teu feeder container vessels for Manqiang Shipping, a subsidiary of Shanghai Jinjiang Shipping (SJJ), according to TradeWinds News.
The order, placed by Hong Kong-registered Manqiang Shipping, represents a significant investment in fleet capacity for the Chinese shipping company. Shanghai Jinjiang Shipping provides cargo tracking, demurrage information, and vessel schedules via its website, jjshipping.cn. The company can be contacted at 86-21-53862200 or admin@jjshipping.cn.
Manqiang Shipping is slated to receive CNY 329 million in funding from Shanghai Jinjiang, as announced in late September 2025, according to Marketscreener.com. This funding is expected to support the newbuilding project and further expansion of the company’s operations.
The new vessels will be feeder container ships, designed to carry 1,900 twenty-foot equivalent units (teu). Yangzijiang Shipbuilding has a substantial track record in building container ships, and this order adds to its existing workload.
