OLD TRAFFORD, MANCHESTER – Manchester United claimed a crucial 2-1 Premier League victory over Chelsea in a chaotic match at Old Trafford, marked by two red cards and a flurry of goals. The match,played under heavy rain,quickly descended into drama. Chelsea goalkeeper Robert Sánchez was sent off in the 5th minute for a foul on Bryan Mbeumo. United capitalized on the numerical advantage, with bruno Fernandes scoring in the 15th minute after a VAR check confirmed the goal was not offside.Casemiro extended United’s lead in the 37th minute, heading in a cross from Harry Maguire. Though, united themselves were reduced to ten men when casemiro received his second yellow card in added time of the first half.
Chelsea fought back in the second half, with Trevoh Chalobah scoring in the 80th minute, heading in a Reece james cross to make it 2-1. Despite seven minutes of added time, Chelsea were unable to find an equalizer.
