Man with World’s Smallest Penis Reveals Results of Enhancement Procedure
Michael Phillips, who has proclaimed to have the world’s smallest penis, confirmed on Monday, August 17, that he underwent a plastic surgery procedure in North Carolina. The three-hour visit involved the injection of semi-permanent dermal fillers intended to improve his quality of life and alleviate urinary difficulties.
The Medical and Financial Logistics of the Procedure
The decision to pursue the $4,000 surgery followed a crowdfunding campaign on GoFundMe, which raised over $13,000 from more than 250 donors. According to reports from TMZ and aol.com, Phillips sought the intervention not for a sexual purpose, but to address functional challenges caused by a micropenis diagnosis, which resulted in a length of 0.38 inches. Phillips stated that his condition made using the restroom without making a mess extremely difficult, and his doctor advised that he must use pull ups unless he could pursue a medical procedure to help increase the size and improve his ability to urinate.

The procedure, performed at a hospital in North Carolina, involved prepping the patient with numbing cream and a numbing shot before clinicians administered several injections of filler on all sides of his penis. While Phillips reported immediate physical changes—noting that his phallus now remains extended rather than shrinking and going inside him like a belly button—he acknowledged that there was some swelling in his nether region. This post-operative inflammation is expected to last a week or so, at which point the final results will be visible. Doctors told him he could return in six months and repeat the procedure to add further to his size, or maintain his new size if the dermal filler dissolved quicker.
Publicity, Skepticism, and the Role of Advocacy
Phillips’s journey into the public eye began when he began sharing his story to raise awareness about the difficulties confronting those diagnosed with having a micropenis. His advocacy included an appearance on the British television show This Morning, where he discussed his life. Throughout his campaign, Phillips faced significant online skepticism and public scrutiny, including viral social media reactions from individuals who challenged the authenticity of his claims.

Psychological Expectations and Long-Term Outcomes
In an exclusive interview with The Mirror US, Dr. Elizabeth, a psychologist, noted that while the procedure may address specific functional frustrations, it is not a panacea for deeper personal or emotional challenges. “My hope is that he has realistic expectations regarding what the surgery itself can accomplish,” Dr. Elizabeth stated. She emphasized that the surgery should be viewed as a single step in a broader process of personal development, rather than a definitive solution to confidence or relationship issues.
The case also drew interest from the medical community, including a public offer from a Beverly Hills plastic surgeon, Dr Robert Dorman, to perform the procedure for free. However, Phillips opted to move forward with a facility closer to his home in South Carolina.
