Man in His 50s Critically Injured After Being Struck by Vehicle in North York

A man in his 50s was transported to a trauma centre with life-threatening injuries after being struck by a vehicle in North York on Thursday evening.

Emergency services responded to the collision at approximately 8:21 p.m. At the intersection of Pinebrook Avenue and Bartley Drive, located west of Victoria Park Avenue. Toronto paramedics confirmed the victim was critically injured in the incident before being moved to a specialized facility for treatment.

Police reported that the driver of the vehicle remained at the scene following the impact. Preliminary findings from investigators indicate that the driver does not appear to have been impaired.

The circumstances surrounding the collision are currently under investigation.
