SAN ANTONIO,‍ TX – The man who died ‌Tuesday after being pulled from Woodlawn Lake⁣ has been identified as 34-year-old Jose Luis Hernandez, according‌ to the Bexar County Medical Examiner’s office.Hernandez was rescued from the lake‌ shortly after 5:30⁢ p.m.⁢ and⁤ pronounced dead at University ‌Hospital.

The incident ⁣unfolded⁢ as witnesses reported ⁢a man struggling in ⁤the water near the ​lake’s ​boat ramp. San Antonio‌ Fire ‌Department (SAFD) crews responded‍ quickly and‌ recovered Hernandez, initiating life-saving measures before transporting him to the hospital. While the circumstances ⁤leading‍ to⁢ Hernandez​ entering the water remain ‌under ⁣investigation,the tragedy underscores the dangers of recreational activities and the swift response capabilities of local emergency services.
