Federal Drug Fugitive Apprehended in Cleveland
CLEVELAND, Ohio (October 25, 2025) – A man wanted on federal drug charges stemming from West Virginia was arrested in Cleveland Friday morning by the U.S. Marshals Service and the Northern Ohio Violent Fugitive Task Force (NOVFTF).
Terrell Sparks,29,was taken into custody after authorities located him hiding in the attic of a residence in the 8300 block of Medina Avenue. Sparks was initially sought by the Cuyahoga County Sheriff’s Department for a probation violation related to prior charges of aggravated burglary and assault.
though, the primary charges driving the search originated in West Virginia, where Sparks is facing federal accusations of conspiracy to distribute and possess with intent to distribute cocaine base, heroin, and fentanyl. He is also charged with distributing cocaine base within 1,000 feet of a protected location.
Investigators began tracking Sparks in August, suspecting he had fled West Virginia for the Cleveland area.During the search, Sparks evaded law enforcement on two occasions, once in a vehicle and another time on foot.He was recently featured as the “Fugitive of the Week” in a public appeal for information.
Sparks will remain in local custody pending extradition to West Virginia to face the federal charges.
“this fugitive thought he could run forever,but the task force doesn’t give up,” a U.S. marshals Service representative stated. “Whether its here in the city of Cleveland, across northern Ohio or across the country, the U.S. Marshals Service will bring fugitives to justice.”
