Man Arrested for Felony Stalking at LeBron James’ Los Angeles Home
A man was arrested on suspicion of felony stalking on Friday night, November 7, 2026, at the Brentwood, California, residence of NBA star LeBron James, after private security and local police responded to a reported burglary.
Police Response and Arrest at Brentwood Residence
Officers from the Los Angeles Police Department were dispatched at 9:39 p.m. Friday to the 500 block of North Tigertail Road following reports of a suspected burglary on the premises. Private security monitoring the upscale Brentwood residence observed an individual on surveillance camera feeds and immediately contacted law enforcement. An unnamed suspect was taken into custody at the scene and booked on stalking charges rather than burglary charges. When speaking with police, the suspect claimed to be James’ son, according to TMZ. Authorities have not publicly identified the suspect, and it remains unclear whether he had made previous contact attempts or prior security encounters at the address. James’ representatives declined to comment on the incident, per ESPN.
Where LeBron James Was During the Incident
James was not home during the incident, having traveled to Cleveland, Ohio, where he was playing with the Philadelphia 76ers against his former team, the Cavaliers, in an NBA Cup game. The Philadelphia 76ers lost 119-95 to the Cavaliers. James, who spent the past eight seasons playing for the Los Angeles Lakers, signed with the 76ers in the offseason and is splitting his time this season living in Philadelphia and New York City. Playing in his 24th season in the NBA, James has recorded averages of 14.8 points, 7.4 rebounds, and 6.9 assists per game across eight appearances for Philadelphia. The Sixers hold an 8-2 record through their first 10 games of the season and sit in first place in the Eastern Conference.
Next Steps in the Legal Investigation
The Los Angeles County District Attorney’s Office is expected to review the investigation to determine whether to bring formal charges against the suspect following his booking on felony stalking allegations.
