Maine Ski Conditions March 23 | Snow Report & Updates
Lebanon, NH – As of Sunday, March 22, 2026, several Maine ski resorts are reporting varying conditions, with some already closed for the season and others preparing for reopenings, according to SnoCountry Mountain Reports.
Baker Mountain, Bigrock Mountain, Hermon Mountain, and Lost Valley are currently closed for snow sports. Lost Valley anticipates reopening on March 27th with machine-groomed conditions and a base of 5 to 48 inches. Bigrock Mountain plans to reopen on March 28th, reporting loose granular and machine-groomed conditions with a 24-inch base.
Mohawk Mountain in Connecticut is also listed as reopening on March 27th, with machine-groomed conditions and a base of 24 to 40 inches. Ski Sundown is scheduled to reopen on March 28th, with a machine-groomed base of 25 to 30 inches.
Mt. Abram is currently open with 13 of 44 trails available, representing 30% of the resort, and a base of 25 inches. Three of five lifts are operating. Pleasant Mountain is operating with 34 of 42 trails open (81%) and all six lifts running, offering conditions described as machine-groomed with a base of 12 to 24 inches.
Saddleback is reporting 50 of 68 trails open (74%) with a base of 30 to 45 inches, and five of six lifts are operational. Sugarloaf has 66 of 176 trails open (38%) across 435 acres, with 11 of 15 lifts running and a base of 16 to 26 inches. Sunday River reports 84 of 139 trails open (60%) across 503 acres, with 12 of 19 lifts operating and a base of 30 inches.
