Teenage Sweethearts Rekindle Romance, Marry After Decades Apart
Scott and Karen, whose love story began in thier teenage years, have reunited and married after a 40-year separation. The couple, who first met and experienced young love, including attending each other’s proms, were separated in 1985 when Karen’s family moved from Long Island to Camden County. Despite the heartbreak of their separation, both Scott and Karen eventually married other people and raised families. Later, both found themselves single again. Karen, who never stopped searching for Scott, was eventually found by his sister on facebook two years ago. their reunion led to a move and a wedding in the Bahamas on March 4th, a date that holds special significance as it marks 41 years since their initial meeting.
The couple is currently competing for the title of America’s Favorite Couple, with the prize money intended to help them make up for the lost time and experiences they missed during their four-decade separation. Scott and Karen are currently in first place, with voting for the Top 5 concluding this Thursday at 7 pm.
