Nexon launched a four-week collaborative event in the MMORPG Mabinogi featuring the fantasy anime Atelier of Witch Hat, reported on October 16. The crossover runs until the game maintenance on November 12, bringing characters from the series into the virtual world of Erinn through weekly episodic quests.

Weekly Episodic Quests Pull Anime Figures Into the Virtual World

The collaborative storyline centers on characters from the animated series being pulled into the Mabinogi universe by an unknown force. Over the four-week schedule, players known as Milesians interact with animated figures including Coco, Kieffrey, Agott, Tethia, and Riche. Nexon structured the event to release a new chapter of quests weekly. Finishing the first week unlocks the “Kieffrey’s Rescue Chair” item, which recreates a scene from the anime series.

Nexon Adds Erinmarble Board Game and Miniature Reinforcement

Alongside the main narrative quests, the update introduces daily rotation assignments and an interactive board game mechanic titled “Erinmarble.” This side content gives participants extra event currency while maintaining the crossover theme. Developer Nexon also added a permanent passive buff for the duration of the event alongside a miniature reinforcement system. Players can shape the appearance and statistics of anime character miniatures before placing them in their romantic farms to boost character stats.

Event Points Trade for Collaborative Merchandise and Cosmetics

Event points collected during the four-week window trade directly for collaborative merchandise. The reward pool includes costume sets styled after the anime characters, hair coupons, eye beauty coupons, romantic farm installations, 1st and 2nd titles, and damage skins. Additional cosmetic packs are available for purchase, covering weapon appearance scrolls, skill effect cards, and spirit transformation liqueurs.

Atelier of Witch Hat follows a young girl named Coco training as an apprentice magic user. The animated adaptation premiered globally on Netflix this past April and secured a spot in South Korea’s top ten series rankings.
