Lupillo Rivera Plans Countersuit Against Belinda, Alleges Management Interference
Mexico City – October 16, 2024 – Singer Lupillo Rivera is preparing a countersuit against Belinda following protection measures granted to the singer after she filed a complaint against him, according to reports from YouTube presenter Elisa Beristain. Rivera allegedly communicated to Beristain on October 14th, stating, “Yes, Eliza… I am preparing a countersuit to Belinda… adn a lawsuit against the Olympia Law. I’m going to go against everything and everyone.”
The protection measures were issued by the Attorney General’s Office of Mexico City on October 9th,stemming from comments Rivera made regarding a past romantic relationship with Belinda in 2019,including details published in his book,’Tragos Amargos.’ The law firm Maceo, Torres & asociados, representing Belinda, stated Rivera’s actions “constitute gender violence” and a violation of human rights, requiring him to cease discussing her publicly.
Rivera further alleged to beristain that Belinda’s management is behind the legal action and possibly manipulated his outcome on the reality show La Casa de los Famosos. He claims to possess evidence,specifically implicating a person identified as “Danna Prensa,” alleging interference that resulted in him placing third. “There is a lot of evidence against them,” Rivera reportedly told Beristain.
As of today, October 16th, Rivera has not released any public statement regarding the protection measures or his planned legal response. The initial complaint against Rivera centered on alleged “digital violence.”
