Ludogorets Sign Young Player From Levski | Transfer News
Bulgarian football club Ludogorets has signed Hristiyan Georgiev, a youth player from rival team Levski Sofia, according to reports on Monday.
The 17-year-aged left winger, born in 2009, has opted to continue his development with Ludogorets’ under-17 team, which competes in the elite youth league, sources confirmed. The move marks another instance of a promising Levski academy player choosing to join a competitor, with previous cases seeing players transfer to CSKA 1948.
Currently, Ludogorets leads the Elite U17 Group, although Levski sits in fifth place, seven points behind, according to reports.
Stoian Dimov is the coach of Levski’s younger youth teams. Georgiev will now work under Valeri Venkov and Milen Marinov at Ludogorets. Some players within the Ludogorets youth system also have opportunities to participate with the club’s third team, which competes in the North-Eastern Third League.
