Louvre: David Exhibition, Concerts, and Theatrical Performance

Louvre‍ Museum Hosts Concerts ​and Reading-Show Alongside‍ Jacques-Louis David ‌Exhibition

Paris, France ⁢- The Louvre Museum is enriching its retrospective exhibition celebrating the⁤ bicentenary of ‍Jacques-Louis David’s death⁣ with a series of concerts and a unique reading-show⁤ experience. The ⁤events, beginning in november, aim ⁤to immerse audiences ‌in the⁣ world of the artist known as the “director of the Revolution” and his pivotal role in ‌organizing revolutionary⁢ ceremonies and festivals.

Director Benjamin Lazar ​ has conceived a reading-show where David reflects on his life on the eve of his trial.​ ⁤The performance will feature actors ‌Judith⁢ Chemla, Stanislas Roquette, and Arnaud Marzorati,⁤ accompanied by Marzorati’s ensemble, Lunaisiens, ⁤to bring this theatrical ‍portrait to‌ life.

Complementing the reading-show, a cycle of concerts⁤ will ⁣be ​held at‍ the Auditorium through december 5th. Featured ensembles include Les Musiciens du Louvre, the‍ Ostinato Orchestra, and Talens​ Lyriques, all performing works inspired by⁤ the⁢ themes of the Revolution and the Empire.
