Louis Vuitton Enters Beauty with Refillable Collection Designed for Longevity
PARIS – Louis Vuitton has launched its first beauty collection, “La Beauté Louis Vuitton,” featuring 55 lipsticks, 10 balms, and 8 eyeshadow palettes. The line, available since August 29th in select stores and online at louisvuitton.com, is designed with a strong emphasis on sustainability and refillability.
The collection’s design is signed by Konstantin Grcic, and features an olfactory signature created by Jacques Cavallier Belletrud, the house’s master perfumer.Echoing Louis Vuitton’s heritage of travel necessities, the launch also includes a vanity trunk and small leather goods.
Grcic prioritized refillable products over disposable ones, utilizing materials like aluminum and brass to minimize plastic use and enhance durability. “When possible, we favored recharging products rather than disposable,” Grcic stated. “We have chosen materials such as aluminum and brass in order to reduce the use of plastic and improve the sustainability of creations. Our approach is based on longevity and quality, while respecting our convictions and commitments in terms of sustainable development.These objects are made to accompany us on a daily basis, be kept, appreciated and used over and over again.”
