Littler & Baetens Win at Belgian Darts Open – Results & Schedule
Luke Littler continued his impressive form in Belgium, launching his title defense at the 2026 Belgian Darts Open with a 6-2 victory over Boris Krcmar on Saturday. The win came as Belgian players Andy Baetens and Kim Huybrechts also secured victories, delighting home crowds in Wieze.
Littler, aiming for a third consecutive Lecot Belgian Darts Open title, started strongly, nearly averaging over 110 before settling for a 104.70 average. He quickly established a 5-0 lead, including checkouts of 94 and 119. Krcmar managed to get on the scoreboard with a 125 finish, but Littler closed out the match with a 12-darter. “I love it here,” Littler said, reflecting on his previous success in Belgium. “My first European Tour event was here. I want to win it again, and performances like that will put me up there.” The win followed a recent victory in Ireland, which Littler believes has set him up well for the tournament.
Luke Humphries also advanced to Finals Day, overcoming a fightback from Dirk van Duijvenbode with a 6-4 win, registering a ton-plus average and converting six of his twelve double attempts. Michael van Gerwen also secured a winning start, defeating Mickey Mansell 6-4 with a crucial 114 combination.
Andy Baetens contributed to the home nation’s success, defeating Stephen Bunting 6-4. Both players struggled with their doubles, with conversion rates under 30%. Baetens took an early lead, but Bunting equalized at 4-4 before Baetens secured the win, capitalizing on late double failures from his opponent. Baetens will next face Martin Schindler, who previously defeated William O’Connor.
Kim Huybrechts thrilled the Belgian fans with a 6-4 victory over Josh Rock, winning the last four legs of the match. Rock had initially led 3-1 and had a chance to extend his lead to 4-1, but Huybrechts responded with strong scoring legs to level the match at 4-4. Huybrechts ultimately closed out the match as Rock missed five darts at double 20.
Mike De Decker was unable to join his compatriots in the last 16, losing a close match 5-6 to Niels Zonneveld. De Decker had led 4-2, but Zonneveld fought back, securing a crucial break to reach a deciding leg. The loss means De Decker will need to re-enter qualification for future European Tour events unless other qualified players withdraw.
Cristo Reyes also advanced to the last 16, defeating James Wade 6-2. Reyes consistently applied pressure, punishing Wade’s missed doubles with checkouts of 87 and 97.
The Belgian Darts Open continues on Sunday with the last 16 matches scheduled for the afternoon, followed by the quarter-finals, semi-finals, and final in the evening. DAZN and Pluto TV will broadcast both sessions live.
