My mom used to write for the Southeast Georgian as a young lady in Kingsland. Her name was Estele M. Atkinson-DeLettre who was daughter of Ephraim Melville and Iola Atkinson' pioneers and my grandmother Nanny Ola was part of the of the founding King family of Kingsland, Georgia. Our Grandfather, Ephraim, was the first telegrapher for the railroad there.nMy mom was also a basketball player on the Kingsland school and operated a Blue plate Tea Room with her sister...Fern Atkinson..later married name..Boyle. Her brothers Dan and Morris both owned retail dry goods and grocery stores respectively on Main St. In town.of Kingsland. By Charles M. De Lettre..Jacksonville.
