I recently visited Iola, KS, and had the pleasure of meeting the inspiring leadership at The Iola Register newspaper. I was impressed by the dedication, integrity, and consistency that drives their operation, especially from Susan, the newspaper's proprietor. What stood out most was the kindness and generosity shown by the entire staff. My conversations with Tim Stauffer, the managing editor, were a highlight; I was amazed by his thoughtful structure of ideas. He is a genuine and generous person. I also appreciate that The Iola Register is sharing interviews and content through podcasts. It's a fantastic way for them to maintain their community focus while embracing modern media. My time in Iola was wonderful, and I highly recommend supporting this paper. I'm already looking forward to my next visit!

What a treasure it is to have the Iola Register. Their consistent professionalism and timely coverage help bring our community together and keep us connected to what’s happening around us. Our family loves reading the print edition to see friends and neighbors featured. Also greatly appreciate the needed extra initiatives (UPS pickup, printing, etc) they provide to our smaller community.

Excellent local newspaper. We are lucky to have it in our area! I’ve lived in larger cities that didn’t even have a daily newspaper. They do a great job keeping us informed on local, state, and national news. I have the digital and print subscription; worth it.

The Iola Register is a gem. Keeping local newspapers alive is critical, and they do such a great job!

Our local daily newspaper, The Iola Register, has been in business since 1867..... I am celebrating my 81st year and the Register has been at my parent's house and at my house all 81 years. At a time when newspapers are struggling, our Iola Register continues to print five days a week. Probably my favorite part is the great pictures of every happening in our communities. The other really important part is the great coverage of local sports, business and politics. If you read our paper, you always know what's going on!! Our family is so grateful for the Iola Register newspaper!!
